Wolf Hoppe, an adjunct professor of law, will lecture on “President Trump and the Constitution,” 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, in RVUUF’s Great Hall. Hoppe’s presentation is co-sponsored by RVUUF’s Social Justice and Action Committee, with the Mountain Meadows Democrats Plus Club.

This vital committee engages the wider community through social action and promotion of social justice, and has focused on homeless issues this year. “Laundry Love,” which has an effort in Ashland, Oregon, will be the recipient of the third-Sunday offering, this Sunday, June 18, at RVUUF. RVUUF member, Martha de Aquino and United Church of Christ member, Laurie Carter will speak about their volunteer experience with Laundry Love each month.
RVUUF’s Social Justice and Action Committee presents a screening of the documentary film “Big Pharma: Market Failure,” 7 to 9 p.m. June 22, in the Great Hall at RVUUF. Admission is free.
RVUUF has been operating an “Overnight Parking Program.” The purpose is to give people who have no alternative but to live and sleep in their cars a place to park overnight with a minimum of services.
