Danise Matthews is new to RVUUF but that hasn’t held her back from getting involved. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Utah, in October 2019 and discovered RVUUF during the pandemic. She’s never even set foot in our building, but she’s a reliable volunteer who brings food to the Ashland Community Shelter almost every Thursday. She is grateful for this particular project because it is easy enough for her to work into her full time job of taking care of two grandbabies. “Feeding people is a work of heart. I’m not in a position to open my home for a meal, but this gives me an opportunity to connect to others with a hot dinner,” she said. Here she is delivering pizzas.
