There are only 3 days left in the comment period to tell FERC that we don’t want more fracked gas pipeline expansion in Oregon.
Take action today by submitting a comment to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) urging them to deny the GTN Xpress expansion and to prioritize clean energy, not more fossil fuels. FERC is only accepting comments until Monday, August 22nd.
Together, we sent fossil fuel corporations a clear message that they can’t build new fracked gas pipelines through our communities. Now, TC Energy (the company behind the Keystone XL project) is trying a new strategy to quietly expand the GTN pipeline through Oregon by increasing pipeline pressure and by expanding compressor station infrastructure. This project will impact the health and safety of surrounding communities while increasing climate pollution.
Learn more about what TC Energy is planning with the GTN Xpress project by watching this webinar hosted by our friends at Columbia Riverkeeper, listening to this interview, or checking out this article.
It will take all of us to stop this new fracked gas expansion project. If you want to get involved in the campaign to stop the GTN Xpress, please reply here or send me an email at Maig@rogueclimate.org to get involved.
