Uniting for Ukraine is a Rogue Valley sponsoring organization coming to the humanitarian aid of Ukrainian refugees who are currently stranded in Europe and are unable, at this time, to return to their homes due to the ongoing war. Currently, Uniting for Ukraine’s has sponsored nine Ukrainian refugee families (or individuals) in the Rogue Valley. Host families support refugee families in navigating life in the US. and are assisted by volunteer support teams. Support teams assist visiting families in accessing social services, obtaining medical care, arranging transportation, providing meals, enrolling children in school, acquiring interpreters, aiding children and parents in learning English and meeting other needs. Director Scott Bandoroff, Ph.D., will share about this work during our 3rd Sunday worship service on the January 15th, 2023.
