The local nonprofit organization featured this Sunday will be Court Appointed Special Advocates, also known for short as CASA. CASA furnishes support to children and teenagers involved in court proceedings that might not fully recognize the best interests of these youth. Our speaker is Cristina Petrone, of Jackson County CASA. Cristina will tell us how CASA selects, trains, and matches citizen mentors to work with young people.
