Plans for launching a Lifespan Learning initiative here at RVUUF gained solid support from our members last week who gathered to learn about Lifespan and voice their ideas about how such a program could be organized and managed.
Lifespan would take inventory of our many skills, talents and artistic expertise, and organize these into a curricula, an ongoing series of fun and stimulating educational offerings for all ages.
Ideas for topics included: resources for better parenting, exploring UU history, talk-backs on the sermon, comparative religions, managing conflict, faith formation, being a liberal in an illiberal age, healthy sexuality for teens, and tackling community-building projects.
That’s just a small sampling. You get the picture. Lifespan promises something for everyone. What’s your artistic skill or area of expertise? Stay tuned and stay engaged.
