Aug. 5: UU and Humanist
The RVUUF Humanist Discussion Group will present this service. Conflict, loss, grief – these are some of the storms of life. Sometimes we hope to avoid them, but perhaps we need these storms to truly understand the fullness of life. Inspired by the spiritual of the same name, we will explore how we develop resilience through storms and once they have passed.

Aug. 12: Buddhist & UU & …
Like Unitarian Universalism, Buddhism is a faith tradition that is practiced by people with many different spiritual beliefs. Members of the Fellowship as well as community members of other faiths will share why they choose a Buddhist practice, and how that practice ties in to the principles and sources of Unitarian Universalism.

Aug. 19: What I Learned on My Summer Vacation
Rev. Sean returns and shares what his art, adventures, and other activities taught him this summer.

Aug. 26: Civil Disobedience: Thoreau to Today
What does our Unitarian Universalist history have to teach us about what to do when and if the government begins to act in ways that are immoral, unethical, or illegal? What does it mean to live up to our principles and purposes in such a time?
