Here’s a look at services taking place in February 2018. The Soul Matters theme for the month is “Perseverance.” Services take place at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday in RVUUF’s Great Hall. Gathering music begins at 10:25 a.m.
Feb. 4: How Shall We Be Together?
Our Covenant of Right Relations provides an answer to this question. It grew out of collaboration among members of our fellowship, and it has transformed, a living document, in response to the journey we have taken together at the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Come learn how our UU principles inform the way we persevere in community together.
Feb. 11: Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch
One wintry day, a postman delivers a mysterious package with a big pink bow to a lonely man named Mr. Hatch. “Somebody loves you,” the note says. “Somebody loves me!” Mr. Hatch sings as he dusts his living room. “Somebody loves me!” Mr. Hatch whistles as he does his errands in town. “But who,” Mr. Hatch wonders, “could that somebody be?” After discovering that there is a twist to the story, Mr. Hatch learns the truth about who loves him.
Feb. 18: Wholeness in a Broken Cup
This service will center on a message of hope that acknowledges and accepts the brokenness and imperfection in our lives.
Feb. 25: The Storm is Passing Over
Conflict, loss, grief–these are some of the storms of life. Sometimes we hope to avoid them, but perhaps we need these storms to truly understand the fullness of life. Inspired by the spiritual of the same name, we will explore how we develop resilience through storms and once they have passed.
