Here’s a look at services taking place in December 2015. Services take place at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday in RVUUF’s Great Hall.
Dec. 6: Wandering and Wondering Together
“Wandering and Wondering Together” is the title of Rev. White’s sermon searching for the differences and similarities of the sacred and the secular as we approach the holidays and holy days.
Dec. 13: Adventures with Advent
“Adventures with Advent” will offer a time for Unitarian Universalists to wonder ways in which the season and rituals of Advent are either embraced or tolerated this time of year.
Dec. 20: Be Not Afraid
Rev. White’s sermon is titled Be “Not Afraid” while wondering about ways in which fear often leads us to courage in the darkest of days. Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon will receive the third Sunday offering. “This year alone,” according to a recent newsletter, Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon provided services to more than 22,000 people.
Dec 27: New Beginnings, Wishes and Wonder
Why do we wonder? Why do we wish? What does our wondering and wishing say about us? Join Lois Pettinger as we address these questions, and retire our 2015 wishing tree.
