Sunday services, April 2018

Here’s a look at services taking place in April 2018. The Soul Matters theme for the month is “Emergence.” Services take place at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday in RVUUF’s Great Hall. Gathering music begins at 10:25 a.m.

April 1: Resurrection Stories, the Promise of Being Born Again and Again
What are Unitarian Universalists to do with Easter? What does Easter have to do with us?

April 8: Life Dripping Down Your Chin
In these trying times, how do we live fully, allowing our best selves to emerge? Can we challenge ourselves and each other to choose to live big, bold lives instead of playing it safe? What would we do if we were not afraid? What would a brave, bold Unitarian Universalism offer this world?

April 15: Changing the World by Changing Our Minds
We are increasingly becoming aware that so much of what we’ve been taught was not objective and neutral, but has served the interests of the powerful. History, as they say, was written by the winners. How do we find and open to transformative stories that could change the world? Options for Homeless Residents of Ashland is RVUUF’s third-Sunday offering recipient for April.

April 22: Our Beloved Home
Join with our beloved community this Earth Day to identify how we can impact global climate change from our home in the Rogue Valley. See what your friends are doing to preserve a livable planet, and how our values call each of us to this work.

April 29: Stories of Hope, Courage, Resistance, and Resilience
RVUUF will livestream the Pacific Western Region’s 2018 Regional Assembly, which takes place from April 27 to 29 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Portland.
