Sunday collection for James Reeb Fund

The Offertory Collection this Sunday will be donated to the Unitarian Universalist Association’s James Reeb Fund.

This fund was established in the memory of James Reeb, a Unitarian minister who died in Selma, working with Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The funds donated on Sunday will be used to help the congregations whose churches were burned down by arsonists in the wake of the shootings in Charleston, S.C.

From this week’s “News to Note,” “Let’s stand in solidarity with the victims of this senseless violence, in solidarity with our commitment to the worth and dignity of every person, in solidarity with our fellow congregations in the UUA.

Black Lives Matter! And so do Black churches.”
