The Interfaith Social Justice Coalition (ISJC), of which RVUUF is part, will host a program that explains five measures on Oregon’s November ballot, Monday, Oct. 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Ashland Congregational United Church of Christ. The presenter is Michelle Glass of the Rogue Advocacy Center.
Two of the measures directly relate to long-standing ISJC concerns: immigration and affordable housing. None of them are self-explanatory, and, according to the ISJC, at least one of the tax measures is misleading when based upon first impression.
Rich Rohde will help Michelle explain the measure affecting the availability of affordable housing, then lead a discussion of affordable housing developments and prospects locally as well as statewide.
There will be ample opportunity to raise questions and make comments about the other four measures.
