Short Notice: RVUUF Highway Cleanup on South Stage Rd. in Medford Sat, Sept. 28

RVUUF has been taking care of a section of highway south of Medford for 19 years by picking up litter at least twice each year. The Fall pick-up has had to be scheduled Saturday, September 28 at 9:00 am until noon. The organizers are very sorry about the short notice, but found that the planned date would not work.
If you could consider doing this and have never done it before, please contact Lorraine or Kate (below). We meet at the Colvin Oil company parking lot on So. Stage Rd. near Voorhees Rd. just after the railroad tracks. If you are coming from Ashland, ask Kate about carpooling.

The Litter Patrol welcomes new volunteers who are able to walk in uneven terrain, lift and carry filled bags and work safely around factors such as heavy traffic and high noise levels, volunteers need to have sturdy shoes and gloves. If you are interested a 15 minute Safety Training DVD is required to be viewed. Youth are encouraged to consider this community service and must be 13 years and have parental consent.

There may be rain showers that day, so bring a rain jacket, drinking water, and wear sturdy shoes that can get wet.  All equipment needed will be supplied.
