Good Trouble: Resistance as a Spiritual Practice

This Sunday service explored the meaning of “good trouble” — the moral courage to challenge injustice when following the rules and doing what is right are no longer the same thing. Drawing on the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement and the words of John Lewis, we reflected on what it means to live our values in a time of political anxiety, social division, and democratic uncertainty. Together, we considered not only how to resist injustice, but how to turn concern into sustained, meaningful action rooted in conscience, community, and hope. We collected food and financial gifts for the food bank.

The Chalice Choir sang during this service. The Annual Congregational Meeting for members was held after.
