Free studio apartment near Lithia park, plus salary, in exchange for up to 30 hours per week of caregiving.

• 5 to 7 days/wk providing excellent care for elderly man. 5-day weekend (5 days off) once a month
• Split shifts: 1-2 hrs in the morning and 2-3 hours in the evening.
• Split week: Sun, Mon, Wed, Thu (eve only), Fri, Sat (eve only). Days open for discussion.

Responsibilities: Help with grooming, washing, dressing, meals, medications, walks, exercises, reading aloud, computer work. No housework except dishes. Car to transport to medical appts. helpful.

Must be compassionate, honest, conscientious, cheerful and patient. No tobacco, drugs or alcohol (clean and sober).

Skills required:

• Able and willing to speak s-l-o-w-l-y and clearly.
• Able and willing to discuss subjects of interest to employer such as books, history and current events.
• Cooking skills.
• Basic computer skills, esp. typing, but not top priority.
• Able to communicate well by word and email with employer and family
• Flexibility: Employers family lives nearby and is very involved.
