Juue 5 was the RVUUF Choir’s last Sunday before their summer hiatus. This has been a good year for the choir, with several new members (always room for more!) and many challenging new anthems that have greatly enhanced the worship experience for our congregation.

This year has also seen the implementation of the Choral Scholars program. Thanks to a generous bequest from the Audrey Sochor estate, we have been able to sponsor two music students from Southern Oregon University (SOU) who have participated in choir rehearsals and Sunday services. Bailey Snelgrove and Michael Jones will also leave on summer break Michael is graduating, and moving on to new adventures.

Bailey plans to be at SOU again in September, and looks forward to returning to RVUUF in the fall. I’m encouraging her to bring a trio of alto, tenor and bass with her. Many thanks to Michael and Bailey for their talented contributions to RVUUF, and best wishes for all their future endeavors!
