RVUUF Choir introduces new Choral Scholars

Three young singers join the RVUUF Choir this season as Choral Scholars, thanks to a generous bequest from the estate of Audrey Sochor, a former member of RVUUF and the choir.

Kyle Colgan, bass, is from Placerville, Calif., and is studying theatre performance at Southern Oregon University (SOU) with emphasis in Shakespeare and musical theatre.

Madison Hamilton, alto, comes from Folsom, Calif., where she discovered her love for theatre and choir, which prompted her move to Ashland. She is a freshman attending SOU to major in theatre with a focus in stage management as well as minor in music.

Michelle Cipollone, soprano, graduated with a Music Education degree in 2012. She is very active musically in the Rogue Valley and eventually wishes to pursue graduate studies in Opera Performance.

RVUUF’s Choral Scholars support the church’s volunteer singers, provide weekly continuity and assist in presenting quality music each Sunday that is inspiring and uplifting. The Choral Scholars also provide special music on Sundays when the choir isn’t singing.
