Retreat from the heat and smoke of summer during RVUUF’s family camp at Camp Latgawa, taking place Aug. 18 to 20. According to Krynn Lukacs, family camp at Camp Latgawa offers “some of the best parts about being members of our beloved community.”
Camp staff take care of the meals, the children get to run free, there is no agenda, and campers’ time is unstructured. “Swim, hike to the waterfall, play board games, go blackberry picking, and (NEW!) practice archery. Or just read under the trees in companionable silence.
“If you’ve attended Latgawa before but haven’t been recently, come back this year and reconnect. Unable to be there the entire weekend? Join just for Saturday or come for the outdoor service on Sunday and stay for lunch.
Information/registration forms are available for download, or use paper forms available at RVUUF. Lodging assignments will be made in the order that completed registrations are received.
Are you able to support the Latgawa experience for a RVUUFian who cannot afford it? Consider donating to the Latgawa scholarship fund (checks payable to RVUUF, memo line “Lindsay Fund”) to ensure that RVUUF’s family camp has the complement of ages, personal circumstances, and sharing that befits its UU community.
