Intern QuianaDenae Perkins will be in Southern Oregon for her Winter visit Wednesday December 1 through Sunday December 4, 2022.
She has been working with teams across SOUUP to create an interactive, social, spiritual and constructive experience that matches the needs of each community. Each community will have a chance to participate in UU Cornerstone, a space to learn more about UU history, theology and future. She is excited to spend time with us here at RVUUF on Thursday, December 1, 2022.
We had other plans, but due to the weather, outside dining is no longer an option. As a safe, dry alternative, we are hosting a simple RVUUF Gathers event from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. This will be a time to meet and greet with QuianaDenae in the RVUUF Sanctuary before the UU Cornerstone session at 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.. What are the Cornerstones of the UU Faith? What is the UU theological stance? What do UUs believe? This session will explore these topics. NO RSVP is required for either event. This gathering will adhere to the RVUUF mask policy.
Sunday December 4 – SOUUP Sunday Service 11:00 am *special time
We will be watching the streamed service in the Sanctuary at RVUUF – doors open 10:30 a.m.
The UU world is all abuzz with the 8th principle and Article II Study Commission, What does all of this mean? What do the principles mean to our faith? What would it mean to adopt the 8th principle or the new language from the Article II Study Commission? Join QuianaDenae and SOUUP for a garden walk to consider, What Are We Growing?
We are all excited for this upcoming visit. It’s a special time for gathering, learning and growing. We hope you are able to join us. Questions can be directed to QuianaDenae at intern.minister@rvuuf.org.
