Lois Pettinger brings food sometimes for our Thursday dinners at OHRA. She says, “I do it because I can. Zoe makes it easy. And I feel like a part of something bigger than myself.” That first part is important: it’s easy.
The second part is important, too.
“It feels good to be part of something bigger, to do something we could never do alone. Even if you sign up to bring something small – like a few bottles of salad dressing, or a few boxes of cookies for dessert – you are making part of a whole dinner.
And that dinner is part of a whole collection of services OHRA provides to help people get out of homelessness and into a more stable life. Click here to see upcoming menus and tasks. See if there’s a job that looks easy.
