Gratitude Abounds!

GRATITUDE ABOUNDS! The month of November is filled with opportunities to say “thank you” as we approach Thanksgiving Day. How do we begin to say “thank you’ to all who were involved in planning this years auction? And how do we say a “thank you” to all who participated in the auction, whether you offered an item or purchased one or helped clean up afterwards!? No matter what amount of money was raised the impact will greatly help RVUUF’s operations. Better is the impact the auction had on building community with each other and friends of RVUUF.

Watch for a new article in News to Note written by our Music Director, Shaun Garner. She wants to keep you up to date on what’s happening in our Music Ministry. Did you notice how the choir sounded even better than they usually do last Sunday?

Last Sunday you were introduced to the Guest at Your Table (GAYT) program offered annually by the UU Service Committee, our human rights partners. I’ll be saying more about this program on the upcoming Sunday, Nov. 15. If you want to read all about it online go to www.uusc.org and click on Take Action and look for GAYT Program. You can start today to change someones life by collecting an offering around your dinner table.

Saying “thank you” to the Founders of RVUUF and to members who have served as a Board member in the last 25 years will be happening the week of Nov. 16 to 22. All that we are and do in this congregation is because someone else helped pave the way. May you find ways to say “thank you.”
