Did you know RVUUF has community garden plots available for its members? Have you read the research on how mycobacterium found in soil can improve brain functions and boost mood? The mycobacterium vaccae found in soil increases serotonin produced in the brain. This is the “happy” chemical. Even if you didn’t know that, I know, I love to grow my own food and play in the garden! Exercise, sunshine, community, organic food. We have several plots in the RVUUF community garden available this year Plots are free but we ask owners to pay a small fee ($20) for our water usage as we use water conserving timers on a drip line. Garden plot stewards make a commitment to keep the weeds down and caring for their own plots to the best of their ability. Please email Cathy Allegretti to reserve your space.Find her on our Breeze online directory, or email the office if you don’t have Breeze access.
