Our FUNraiser this year was a huge success! Our goal for this event was to encourage ongoing year-round FUN while meeting other members of RVUUF, finding out more about each other, our interests and talents, and raising funds for the current annual operating expenses.

Thanks to the creativity, time investment, generosity and enthusiasm of all RVUUFians, we produced a catalogue of 122 offerings including artwork, jewelry, dinners, food and beverage tasting, rides and technology services, hikes, lessons and musical events.

A total of 75 bidders made continuous sweeps around the bidding tables to keep up with competing bidders and after 45 long minutes, the whistle blew, ending all bidding. Phew! What fun!

After we invoiced, collected, and distributed all the goodies and donor event lists, in the words of our President, Donna Barrett, “Boy, Howdy, Wowie!!!!!!!” Our total revenue, after expenses for supplies and printing, is just over $11,000. Quite an accomplishment for our first big fundraiser in many years.

Now that the dust has settled, enjoy all the months ahead full of fun, meeting new people, enjoying great food, wines, beers and activities.
And, yes! We do plan on doing this all again next year, so think ahead to what activities and services you would like to offer and what you would like to attend – and pass it on!
