A Gallery Reception for “Five Friends” will take place following the service on Sunday, Jan. 13. The Five Friends: Martha Abshear, Midge Black, Mary Hills, Gene Leyden and Denise Souza-Finney are Rogue Valley visual artists working in painting and printmaking. Their styles are diverse, ranging from descriptive representation to free form use of line and color. The show will include landscapes, figures and “abstract” paintings and woodcut prints. Although each of the five show their work individually, they have exhibited as a group annually since 2014.
