“Laundry Love,” which has an effort in Ashland, Oregon, will be the recipient of the third-Sunday offering, this Sunday, June 18, at RVUUF. RVUUF member, Martha de Aquino and United Church of Christ member, Laurie Carter will speak about their volunteer experience with Laundry Love each month.
RVUUF’s Social Justice and Action Committee presents a screening of the documentary film “Big Pharma: Market Failure,” 7 to 9 p.m. June 22, in the Great Hall at RVUUF. Admission is free.
RVUUF has been operating an “Overnight Parking Program.” The purpose is to give people who have no alternative but to live and sleep in their cars a place to park overnight with a minimum of services. Her comment about how she wanted a perfect ending, referencing her impending death from cancer, has somewhat haunted me this week for a particular reason, but rest assured I don’t have cancer.
