RVUUF Women’s Retreat, registration begins Aug. 26
Registration begins Sunday, Aug. 26, for the RVUUF Women’s Retreat, taking place from Friday, Sept. 28, through Sunday, Sept. 30, at St. Rita’s Retreat Center in Gold Hill. Carr Fire, special offering for disaster relief

RVUUF board meetings, new location
RVUUF’s governing board will meet in the conference room on the third Thursday of each month, rather than Emerson house.
Ballot Measure 105: Signatures needed to help publish voter’s pamphlet statement
RVUUF’s Social Justice and Action Committee will be working to gather signatures after the service on Sunday, Aug. 5, in order to help publish a voters’ pamphlet statement about Ballot Measure 105 (formerly known as Initiative Petition 22).

New co-chair for Social Justice and Action
The RVUUF Board of Directors has appointed Bridget Whitehead to be the new co-chair of Social Justice and Action. Diane Werich left the position to assume the Presidency of the RVUUF Board and Bridget agreed to add her considerable skills and talents to the work of Justice in our congregation. Congratulations, Bridget!
Homeless Sabbath, service request
For the “Homeless Sabbath,” 10:25 a.m. on Sunday, July 29, attendees are asked to bring toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, hygiene products (tampons, pads), combs, brushes, shampoos, hand/body lotion, cotton swabs, lip balm, sunscreen, wet wipes … and “all those other things you can think of that might make a homeless day easier.”
