Circle Dinners program needs hosts

RVUUF is issuing a call for Circle Dinner hosts for the new program-year (October 2018 to Aug. 2019). A hosts’ kick-off event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 8, 5 to 8 p.m., at a residence in Medford.

Circle Dinners are a Unitarian Universalist tradition. Circle Dinners are informal gatherings to “break bread” with others in the RVUUF community. Last year, three to six Circle Dinners took place each month. To keep them intimate, Circle Dinners typically include four to eight people.

If you would like to host one or more dinners, the first step is to sign-up. Hosts are the key element that make the whole concept of Circle Dinners work for everyone. Without your support, Circle Dinners would not happen.

If you want to continue to host or know for sure that you will become a host for the new-year, send an email to circle.events.admin@rvuuf.org and a host sign-up sheet will be sent to you. You can also use this email if you are interested in becoming a host, but want more information before deciding. Let the organizers know of your interest, and someone will answer your questions.

For everyone (i.e. past, new, and uncertain hosts), perhaps the best way to get your questions answered and learn about the experiences of those that have hosted is to attend the hosts’ wine and cheese kick-off event, Sept. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. RSVP by Sept. 5 to circle.events.admin@rvuuf.org, to let organizers know that you are coming.

If you can’t make it to the kick-off event, no problem! Just let the organizers know you are interested in hosting Circle Dinners and they’ll follow-up with you individually.

(Please note that this announcement is a call for hosts. The Circle Dinners program will sign up guests separately very soon.)
