This year for Christmas Eve we invite you to don your mask and drive or walk by RVUUF between 5 and 6:30 pm.
Begin on C St, proceeding toward 4th. At the end of the RVUUF driveway on C St, you will be able to pause and receive candles and sheet-music to sing a candle-lit Silent Night at home with your household. You will then proceed down C, turning right onto 4th.
On the RVUUF porch, local cellist Daniel Sperry will be offering live music. Santa Scott will be receiving your donations of new items to keep our unhoused neighbors warm — socks, scarves, hats, gloves, long underwear, etc. – in his pickup-truck sleigh, also on 4th. Keep items for donation in their original packaging, if any.
You may drive around the block more than once if desired, and if the drive-by line is too long, you can choose to park and walk by. When you get home, find our Christmas Eve video at rvuuf.org to sing along to Silent Night.
PLEASE NOTE: Masks are required at the event, even when driving by, to keep our volunteers safe while handing out candles and receiving donations. Please maintain at least 6 feet of distance between you and anyone not in your household/pod when walking by.
