CASA of Jackson County, third-Sunday recipient

The recipient of May’s third-Sunday offering will be Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Jackson County. RVUUF member Katy Fox, a CASA advocate, will share her passion for this work. According to a description in this week’s “News to Note,” CASA of Jackson County “gives children a voice when they need it most. Abused and neglected children can easily slip between the cracks of an overburdened child welfare and legal system. CASA volunteers charge is to ensure the children represented are not forgotten, have their needs fully met, remain safe and ultimately come to live in a stable, loving and secure homes. … The question Katy consistently asks herself and others is: ‘What is in the best interest of this child?’”
