The RVUUF Caring Team has been busy in the past four weeks! We were able to tend to 10 members of our congregation. We provided or arranged for two rides, sent out three greeting cards, and made sixteen in-person contacts or visits. We were also made twenty-six check ins through phone, text, or email!
Our Caring Team consists of five people from our congregation who work with our minister to care for members of our congregation, providing home visits to housebound congregants, arranging rides to medical appointments or services, check in calls/emails, and meal trains.
Our Caring Team Lead, Lori Nitchals, will be responsible for addressing all congregational pastoral care requests while Rev. Sean is away on his Sabbatical. Rev. Daniel Owens will be on call to assist Lori with requests she deems are outside of the Caring Team scope of practice, such as memorial services, etc. For more detailed information on what the Caring Team offers, check out our new brochure in the brochure rack in the front lobby!
If you have any care needs you think we can help with, please contact Lori via our Caring Team link.
