Bold and sweeping changes in our UU statement of beliefs and the structure of UU governance will be a central feature for discussion and action by voting delegates attending the UU General Assembly (GA) in Pittsburg, PA June 21 – 25th available in-person or remotely via digital live stream.
Discussion will center upon adoption of the proposed language of the Article II Study Commission of the UUA bylaws and its impetus to place the work of anti-racism as an important center piece in UU belief and social action.
Interested in being a voting delegate representing RVUUF in these discussions at GA? Let any of our board members know. We’ll be sanctioning three delegates at our all Congregational Meeting here at RVUUF on June 4th.
Meanwhile, here are a couple of links which can help our understanding the history and changes being proposed by the Article II bylaws rewrite. Additional links and resources will be made available. Questions or comments: contact Kenny Andersen via the online Breeze directory.
