There are so many great things happening in April. To start the month off, we honor the celebration of Easter (April 9). This sacred holy day for many around the world honors the biblical story of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Our Islamic siblings are observing one of the pillars of their faith, Ramadan. This month-long practice centers prayer, reflection and community. Ramadan begins on March 22 and will end with Eid Celebrations on Friday April 21, 2023.

Next, on a more personal note, I will be attending the Finding Our Way Home (FOWH) conference. What is FOWH? It is an annual gathering of Black and Brown UU Faith professionals. Please note that I will be out of the office from Monday April 17 thru Friday April 20 for FOWH.

And April is not done giving: April 22, 2023 is World Earth Day! Many UU’s dedicate this day to be active in land based justice work. Lastly, I will be the Sunday Worship leader in each SOUUP community- see dates below.

I also want to make note that although I just returned from my amazing March visit, I will be back for my fourth and final visit to Southern Oregon the week of May 7-14. My final sermon will be Sunday May 14 at RVUUF Fellowship 11:00 am. Please mark your calendar and look for event details later this month.
