Hello RVUUFians, I’m feeling some anxiety about preparing the December dinners for OHRA. I know how busy everybody gets this time of the year. What will I do if not enough people sign up for tasks? Some of the most reliable volunteers might be traveling or hosting family members from out of town. They might have places to go, things to do. They might not have time for extra shopping and cooking. In fact, this project is a test of my patience every single week. December is no different. I want the jobs to be taken as soon as I post the menus. But that’s not how it works. It takes time. It reminds me of a coaster I have that says, “I had my patience tested. I’m negative.” So I’m practicing patience – and asking for help: please consider doing a task to help RVUUF prepare dinner at OHRA. And to help me sleep better at night.
