The Pride Crawl event is actually a new addition to SOPride. We’re teaming up with local restaurants and bars to create a Pride-themed restaurant/bar hopping experience starting on First Friday and ending that Sunday, and we’re hoping that your business would like to participate! We want to create a safe environment for LGBTQIA+ folx and our allies and accomplices to go out, have fun and support our local businesses!!

What we’re doing for the Pride Crawl:

• We’re creating a Pride Crawl map with the various participating establishments that will highlight their pride offerings and help participants know how to find your business.

• We’re encouraging establishments to have Pride-themed events (music, bands, karaoke, drag shows, cabaret, etc.) over Pride weekend so we can promote it across our socials as well as on the Pride Crawl map.

• If you’re an establishment that offers Brunch on Sundays, we’re also encouraging you to host a Pride-themed brunch for our ‘Eat Out!’ event on Sunday. Your event would also be promoted across our socials and featured on the Pride Crawl map.

• We’re also encouraging businesses to create Pride-themed drinks or dishes if they want! Be creative! And just like the events, these would also be promoted across our socials and featured on the Pride Crawl map.

• Finally, we’re also asking businesses, if they feel comfortable, to help raise money for SOPride’s future events and efforts by donating a percentage of a pride-themed drink or event towards SOPride. This is in no way required. But it will help us with hosting events in the future and provide resources to the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, and accomplices throughout the year. And as we’re a non-profit, all donations would of course be tax-deductible.
