Zoe Laidlaw met with leaders at Options for Helping Residents of Ashland (OHRA). They are delighted to have RVUUF volunteers bring dinners to their new property on Ashland St near the freeway. “OHRA’s mission is to help low-income people build better lives. By offering hope and access to social services, OHRA encourages those in need on the path to self-sufficiency.” RVUUF volunteers will prepare food on Thursdays, probably beginning October 6, 2022. Menus and tasks will be posted soon and the link will appear here in “News to Note.” Funds are available for volunteers to get reimbursed, thanks to contributions from several generous RVUUF members. So don’t let the high price of food prevent you from participating in this important, compassionate, satisfying, connecting, nurturing project!
