This project started in 2019 with a mission to understand the needs of the LGBTQ+ community in Josephine & Jackson counties, and help to develop a stronger LGBTQ+ movement in our region. Since then, we heard from 500+ folks in a survey, hosted a Queer Convergence to gather LGBTQ+ community leaders and service providers, and have hosted events to build community, learn about our local queer history, and create peer support.
How do we build a movement? How do we strengthen local community? We can’t do it without you! So this spring, we’re planning a series of LGBTQ+ Town Halls to share back what we heard in the 2020 survey and make room to talk with each other about what we feel our communities need. These are for our queer, trans, and LGBTQI2S+ community to connect and share ideas. Allies and families welcome!
We’re hosting 3 virtual town halls in April and hoping to host in-person town halls in May/June. Please join us for one or all. Sign up and the Zoom link will be sent to your inbox.
