In the spirit of our first UU principle, “to affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person,” we strive to convey in manners dependable, inclusive and discrete, a ministry of hope and caring, so that no member of our congregation need be alone.

The RVUUF Caring Team works with our minister, congregation, and the community network in a continuing process to cherish and care for all members of our congregation.

We:

• Provide compassionate listening and emotional support to those journeying through difficult times
• Set up Meal Trains
• Send cards
• Connect with, and visit, congregants in their homes or in healthcare settings
• Provide rides, for example, to attend RVUUF services, for local medical appointments, etc.
• Provide referrals to local social services
• Respect the privacy of congregants by keeping shared details of their lives in confidence
