Our principles and faith swung into action to aid our community devastated by fire in so many ways. One of those ways was to offer Emerson House as a home for a family who lost their home. Rev. Sean called Unete and asked them to find a family that might have a hard time finding shelter. Dagoberto Morales responded by referring the Hernandez family to us. The Hernandezs are a Mother, Father and 5 boys under age 10. The Father works in Ashland. They will stay as our guests until they are able to find more permanent housing and have been able to restore what was lost.
We ask you to contribute to this wonderful example of love in action to cover any needs they may have to furnish Emerson house, to cover utilities and internet so the children can continue in school and any other unforeseen things. The “Emerson Wildfire Housing Fund” has been created for this purpose. You can click on the preceding link to make your donation online, or mail a check to RVUUF at 87 4th St., Ashland, OR 97520. This is a fund separate from the Wildfire Disaster Relief Fund, and donations will specifically go toward housing the Hernandez family. At the time the Hernandez Family does not need any further assistance, we will use this offering to help others. – Diane Werich, Board President
