Thursday, Aug. 13 is “RVUUF Night” at the Ashland City Band Concert, located at the Lithia Park Bandshell up by the street, near the cement wheelchair access area.
(This event has been twice postponed due to heat. If the National Weather Service forecast temperature is less than 100 degrees on Aug. 13, RVUUF will proceed with the potluck. If not, we’ll try again next year.)
Arrival and set-up are from 5:45 to 6 p.m. and eating will start at 6 p.m. According to the organizer, Kathleen Maloney, parking is usually several blocks away, but event security will usually allow people to drive past the barrier to drop off their stuff then drive out and park the car.
Bring a food dish to share, a chair, your own plate, flatware and beverage. Ms. Maloney will bring a table to set the food on. Attendees will eat and visit while pre-concert music plays (beginning at 6:15 p.m.) and then enjoy the concert, which starts at 7 p.m.
Please RSVP to Kathleen Maloney at hera@mtashland.net if you plan to attend, so that she will know if an additional table is needed. If you know what food dish you are bringing to share, please tell her in the RSVP.
