RVUUF’s Social Justice in Action team is planning to attend the “Women’s March Southern Oregon,” taking place on Saturday, Jan. 20, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Hawthorne Park, 501 E. Main St. in Medford.

The plan is to gather at Hawthorn Park and march to Pear Blossom Park, Medford.

The Women’s March Southern Oregon 2018 is part of a national movement to empower everyone who stands for women’s rights, human rights, civil liberties, and social justice for all. “We are unified in our goal to respond to misogyny, arrogance, and the abuse of power, and we will not be silent.”

This is a non-partisan and peaceful event. The event is free but its organizers ask that attendees RSVP so that they can plan accordingly. A GoFundMe campaign is posted to help cover the costs of the event.
