Here’s a look at services taking place in October 2017. Services take place at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday in RVUUF’s Great Hall. Gathering music begins at 10:25 a.m.

Oct. 1: The Courage to be Whole
So many in the LGBTQ+ community are condemned for coming out, for being true to themselves, for reclaiming wholeness in the face of shame. What can we learn from those who have taken this courageous journey? What can they teach us of courage, especially the courage to be whole?

Oct. 8: Taking PRIDE in Our Faith
In anticipation of National Coming Out Day and Rogue Valley Pride, members of the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will share how how their faith journeys, and UU identities, have been shaped by their LGBTQ+ identity and experience.

Oct. 15: The Courage of Our Questions
People often speak of “the courage of our convictions,” but what about the courage it takes to ask good questions? We are a tradition and a movement that not only encourages, but requires ongoing questioning so that we don’t give up our religious freedom for certainty. Come celebrate the power of questions!

Oct. 22: Courageous Love
“To tell the truth, I avoided talking about love for a long time,” Rev. Sean admits. Come listen to how he changed his mind and let himself be changed by the power, creativity, and courage of Love.

Oct. 29: Cycle of Life: Remembrance
Today we remember loved ones who have passed away. We gather in ritual, reflections and song. It is the season of Samhain, All Hallow’s Eve, Day of the Dead, Halloween and All Souls Day. There will be a Remembering Ritual, a time set aside in the beginning of the service for the lighting of a candle and placing of a photograph of a loved one, animal companion, and/or a remembrance on a table in the front of the room. Candles will be provided. If you would like, please bring photos and/or remembrances to include in the ritual. All are welcome to participate.
