Here’s a look at services taking place in September 2017. Services take place at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday in RVUUF’s Great Hall. Gathering music begins at 10:25 a.m.
Sept. 3: Inherent Worth and Dignity of Work
The language we use to talk about work, labor, professions, and occupations may not always reflect our First Principle. Can we get beyond the generalizations about work and those who do it in living Unitarian Universalism?
Sept. 10: The Waters of Welcome
Dive in to the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship during its uniquely UU water ceremony, where we invite participants to bring a small amount of water to pour into our collective container as a symbol of our coming together as beloved community for a new church year. A perfect time for new folks to participate and set an intention to be a part of our fellowship by joining your waters with ours. This service will be extra special as we welcome RVUUF’s new minister, Rev. Sean Parker Dennison, on his first Sunday in our pulpit. Come prepared to share, sing, and flow with the Waters of Welcome.
Sept. 17: Welcoming Each New Thing
There are changes upon changes happening in our congregation, our communities, the world. Rev. Sean will introduce a few of his ideas on the role of Unitarian Universalism and why we need each other in these times.
Sept. 24: A Story Big Enough For All
The stories we tell can define the limits of our imagination and the culture of our community. How do we honor who we are and also be ready to change to meet the needs of a changing world? How do we open our story to create the widest welcome possible?
