Julie Crooks

Worship Arts Leader and Director of Music

Julie brings nearly two decades of experience creating thoughtful, engaging, and inspiring works in Unitarian Universalist congregations. She conducted the choir at Chalice Unitarian (then CVUUF) in Thousand Oaks, CA for almost 15 years, building the program to encompass a large choir often accompanied by the pickup band or their African drumming ensemble. She has served in worship leadership at both Chalice Unitarian and the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and is excited to draw on her extensive experience to help shape meaningful worship experiences at RVUUF.

Julie’s professional background in senior operations and executive leadership focused on supporting executives, boards of directors, and nonprofits organizations through periods of growth and change. That experience has shaped her collaborative leadership style and her commitment to thoughtful planning, strong volunteer teams, and creating welcoming experiences for everyone who walks through our doors.
