Twice a year, fall and spring, RVUUF offers orientation classes for people who are interested in becoming a member of RVUUF. The next series of classes begin March 5, 2017.
Each class is offered to help anyone get a better understanding of Unitarian Universalism in general, and RVUUF specifically. The next new member classes take place:
- March 5 – UU History class taught by Colleen Chambers
- March 12 – UU Principles class taught by Rev. Nan L. White
- March 26 – Path to Membership class led by Colleen Chambers
To become a member of RVUUF, everyone is encouraged to attend all three classes, especially if you are new to Unitarian Universalism.
If you have been a UU elsewhere, we encourage you to take the Path to Membership class as it informs you about RVUUF — including how we govern and suggested ways for you to get integrated into the congregation.
Each class will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the RVUUF library. RSVP to Colleen Chambers via RVUUF’s contact form or call the RVUUF office at 541-482-4755.
If nursery care is needed to attend these classes, please notify Religious Explorations Lead Teacher Liz Bianco.
The April 2 service will include a new member ceremony. New members will sign the Membership book and be welcomed into the life of RVUUF.
