Rose Howard is a lonely girl who relies on her dog for companionship. During a terrible storm, the dog goes missing, but is ultimately found — and that’s when the concept of “Integrity” really comes into play. I don’t want to give away too much, but Rose has a tough choice to make.

Reading this book could prompt discussion about children doing the right thing. How do they decide what’s right? And what happens when adults don’t share the child’s commitment to behaving with integrity?
