We will follow up on our discussion of “The Good Life” with an exploration of personal happiness. Its pursuit has been a fundamental question contemplated by philosophers and theologians since ancient times and in our modern era it has been the subject of increasing scientific research.
Can happiness be measured? Is religion necessary for it? Does it’s pursuit guarantee failure? Is there an optimum level beyond which one can be too happy?
