A group of RVUUF friends will attend the No Kings Rally in Medford this Saturday, March 28, noon to 2pm. To carpool, please be at RVUUF at 11:00 so we can leave at 11:15. We’re not assigning drivers and riders. Just come and we’ll figure it out.
But don’t be late or you’ll be left behind since we won’t know who to expect!
We’ll have maps for carpool drivers. People who want to meet up in Medford can download the map here.
Once in Medford, we’ll meet at the corner of Biddle and Morrow St. That’s the corner where Food for Less is located, but hope to be be out closer to Biddle, near the Dairy Queen. We’re joining the Langston Hughes Affinity Group (from UCC) to lead “POD 11” in singing 3 songs organized by Art and Nancie Shaw. The 3 songs will start at 12:30, 12:35 and 12:40. Try to arrive by noon to find the group. Look for a paddle that says POD #11. You probably know these songs and they’re easy to follow but you can use this QR code to read the lyrics on your phone at the event.
For more information contact Suzanne Andersen. Her contact info is in breeze.
Lori Nitchals will be headed to Ashland Plaza at 9:30 am if you want to join her for a smaller group.
Wherever you choose to protest on March 28, bring a charged cell phone, ID, a little cash, emergency contact information, comfortable shoes, water, snack, fun sign, buttons, flags, banners, good humor and a sense of adventure. Dress for the weather. Take care of yourself and others!
