As we approach Christmas time, let’s explore the traditional understanding of Jesus of Nazareth by examining when he was born, what he may have looked like, and the sources that recount his life. Participants will consider modern scholarly perspectives, consider whether the Star of Bethlehem reflects a real event, and better understand why Christmas is celebrated on December 25. All are welcome to participate!
Join us Sunday, December 7 from 3-5pm. We will be meeting at RVUUF under the balcony. For discussion resource links see the Humanism Explorations website. For more information contact Roy Kindell, HumanismExplorations@gmail.com.
