From the FunRaising Catalog last March, it’s finally time for item #117: an old-time favorite HOOTENANNY!
This is not a performance. It is a group sing-along with Bill Lamb leading and playing chords on a guitar. Song sheets will be provided to all participants with lyrics for 59 songs. We expect to sing about half of them, as selected by attendees. Songs include folk songs (by Peter, Paul & Mary, The Kingston Trio, Pete Seeger, John Denver, Johnny Cash, and others) and some old-time western and campfire songs. Most songs are quite familiar to most people and are loads of fun to sing. Snacks and soft drinks will be provided. If you have an instrument or handheld percussion, bring it along.
Many people signed up in March, but there are a limited number of seats still available. We would love to have you join us! If interested, you must make a reservation will Bill Lamb. Call or text him at (651) 757-5026, email him at billlamb01@gmail.com, or find him in person and let him know. You may bring the $15 contribution on the evening of the event.
The Hootenanny will take place at RVUUF on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. We will be meeting under the balcony
Everyone can sing when it comes to a Hootenanny!!!
The overriding goal is to have fun!!!
