2nd Quarter Treasurer’s Report

The good news is that as of the end of December, our year to date net income is a positive $39,000. That, however, is not the full story. That positive number reflects the upfront loading of revenues with our grant from the Endowment Trust, plus the good work you all did with the Squash campaign, which went a long way towards cancelling out the unfunded income line in last year’s budget.

I don’t expect the numbers to remain so rosy long.As enthusiasm for a spring auction seems to be fizzling, we are left with the remainder of our pledge commitments to provide the revenue to get us through the rest of the fiscal year. Please keep that in mind as you continue your pledge donations, and thanks to all of us for our continued generosity.

After the substantial majority decision to sell the Emerson House last month, a prospective sale is already underway. If goes forward in timely fashion, a portion of those proceeds will also be available to help with revenue by funding the aforementioned budget line item, and ultimately provide for a balanced FY26 budget.

Any questions about any of this, or anything else? Need more information? As always, I can be reached at treasurer@rvuuf.org, and am pleased to be of service.

Respectfully,

-Tom Ferrel, Treasurer
